Today I’m starting my {seven} questions to… series again, yay! In 2012 I will continue to introduce great mums and dads to you who are not only raising children but are also achieving something else.
We start off 2012 with Heidi from I’mWithLeia. Maybe you remember, Heidi wrote me a lovely guest post after the birth of the Little Brother and I’m very happy that she answers my {seven} questions today:
{seven} questions to… Heidi
1 How did you get the idea to do what you are doing?
I come from a very creative family, has grown up with a grandmother that paints of fine china, a sister that knits and a mum that makes everything – knitting, painting, dolls, rugs … Personally I picked up knitting to stop smoking, that’s years ago. The blog started up to distract me from not getting pregnant, quickly i discovered the handmade scene and the ball rolled from there.
2 What has made you happy today?
My Little A has smiles the biggest smile imaginable. He makes me happy everyday – even those days when he spit up all over me including my hair. I don’t mind.
3 What has surprised you the most about having children?
How much pain someone can go though giving birth and how quick it dissapears after. Hours after Little A was born I was ready for one day having one more. (it wasn’t what they call an ‘easy’ birth but…)
4 With whom would you like to switch roles for a day?
Seems strange to admit it…but I love my role. So no one
5 What urgently needs to be invented?
A baby manual
6 What is your ultimate must have for mums?
The sling crib! Wow it’s so nice to be able to but him there for his daytime naps – he likes it and is there in the living room with me.
7 Last but not least, what does your perfect day look like?oh gosh…city or country?
It’s a weekend of just hanging out with my two men, go for long walks in the sunshine – just being family.
Thanks for answering my questions, Heidi!
